This work is part of a series made from my own recycled and reconstructed, printed fabric called “Compost Pieces”. It is made from unfinished prints, paintings and fragments that I have created over the past decade. I also think of this process as creating my own ready mades.The old, unresolved work is cut up and woven or sewn back together with the intention of creating a new artwork meant to hang on the wall. The composition that emerged in this particular artwork suggests to me a state of spiraling collapse and reorientation. Regurgitation.
